My teaching approach is informed by lessons I took with the great Charlie Banacos from 2001-2005. Every week, Charlie took me completely seriously. He held me to the highest standard, introduced me to new tunes and pianists, showed me so many voicings–and told me where they came from, and kept things light by making silly jokes.
